Year in review

“Seek First the Kingdom”: this was the theme for the congregation here in Trinidad in 2011, and in many ways that’s what we did.

After seven years without full-time leadership, the Lord blessed our prayers and the hard work of our church board by sending us Tony and Leslie Millet. They along with their 2 lovely children, Brooke and Anthony III, moved here from Virginia where they led a region in the Hampton Roads Church. They arrived in Trinidad in April of last year, and have really given us their hearts, minds, souls and strength.

In 2011 we have witnessed 26 baptisms & 3 restorations to the church. To Him be the glory!

This brings me to our 2011 Teen Camp, organised by our hard working Teens Ministry leaders Nanieno & Merlene La Fleur along with the support of the teen workers. We had an attendance of approximately 50 teens from

the North, South, and Tobago. The response was amazing: 27 teens committed to studying the bible - 6 of our teens have been baptized since then!

We also saw the re-establishment of our Campus ministry. Shane Gibson (aka Rizon) and his lovely wife Susann were given the charge to rekindle the flame on our campuses. God is blessing that work as well with 2 students who have made Jesus lord since the beginning of the school year.

It is safe to say that 2011 was a “Year of Rebirth” for our church.

We had our first Men’s Forum in 7 years, an amazing evangelism campaign in September that wasn't taken off course by a national State of emergency, and a new Evangelist and Women’s Ministry Leader! We truly had a Spirit-led year.

We pray that 2012 will by no means be any less exciting. We are looking forward to this weekend as God inspires us with our 2020 Vision. Let's pray that God grants us all an even more fruitful year this year.
