Farewell Anthony.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day —and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Servant……Soldier……”Sweets” Man….Set apart…..
These are just some of the many qualities that describe the life of our dear late brother Anthony Mendes, who, suddenly and unexpectedly, passed away on the morning of Monday July 16th, 2012. We, at the Port of Spain Church of Christ, are forever indebted with gratitude for his constant and unwavering contribution to the saints in our fellowship. His unique personality and his warm smile always brought a joy in our hearts and a peace in our souls.
As tough as it was to deal with his passing, we rejoice in the fact that he is in a better place and we too can continue to strive to run this race together, so we can fellowship with him in heaven. Anthony indeed fought the good fight and he finished the race hard, strong and faithfully. And in the words of Shane “Rizon” Gibson, he was a “Miracle” in the lives of those he touched and we thank God for providing this “Miracle” to us all.
We’ll miss you bro…….RIP Good Sir.
